Komodo Edit - a free Perl editor/IDE I don't have time to get into all the details today, but I'm glad to report that I'm pretty happy with the free ActiveState Komodo Edit editor. I've been using it on my iMac for the last few days, and I have no real complaints about using it as a Perl editor (IDE). It is all Cocoa (fwiw), and is only $20. It is still at a very![]() bare version 1.x.x level but looks and feels real great. I realize that BBEdit has many fans, on this list and beyond, but this is an alternative for those who may not be satisfied with BBEdit. Besides, having competition in this area would be great for all. The best thing is the irEdit can do syntax coloring for multiple languages in the same document, and you can define your own languages really easily.
